PRODUCT DEVELOPMENT SPECIALIST

The candidate will follow an internal training plan so that he/she can design mechanical components for

Automotive, defining its functional and technical characteristics, independently.

The candidate will establish the functional and technical characteristics of the component, the materials and technologies to be used for future production; will provide drafts for the development of models and prototypes, mainly using software such as CATIA V5 (Computer-Aided Design) for two-dimensional and three-dimensional modeling (2D and 3D).

The candidate will discuss with the work team to evaluate the prototype, both from the point of view of compliance with the design specifications and from the point of view of its technical and economic feasibility.

He/she will be able to collaborate in carrying out tests, laboratory analyses and simulations to verify the technical/qualitative compliance of the developed model with industry standards and regulations.

MAIN ACTIVITIES

• Provide support in the drafting of technical documents for R&D projects.
• Provide support in the drafting of technical reports.
• Perform model-based CAD engineering projects.
• Produce technical reports
• Perform simple comparative analysis
• Perform statistical analysis on tolerances
• Perform theoretical calculations
• Conduct benchmarking analyses on existing components on the market.

SKILLS (HARD E SOFT SKILLS)

• Knowledge of dimensioning techniques (ASME, GD&T, etc.) is essential.
• Advanced skills in the use of graphic modeling SW (e.g. Catia V5)
• Knowledge of the main production processes
• Accuracy and attention to detail
• Strong analytical skills and problem-solving skills

• Good organizational and planning skills, ability to deal with situations where flexibility is required.
